Founded in 1961, IDS will celebrate its 50th birthday during the 2011–2012 school year. IDS remains a youthful institution that embraces an educational practice well suited to preparing our students to thrive as learners in this new century. Our intentionally small size and human scale combine with a culture of community, safely grounded in childhood.
