Lower School, Grades Three through Five

The Lower School bridge between early childhood and adolescence leads students from third through fifth grade and affords them an expansive vista of their world. Along this bridge, we guide children in the process of molding everything from their handwriting to their understanding of this world. We steer them gently toward a state of greater independence and foster their sense of responsibility for their academics, their decisions, and their classmates.

Because who a child becomes is as important as what he learns, we place equal emphasis on strengthening his character, affirming his emotional responses, and helping him feel comfortable and effective among his peers. It’s all part of nurturing the whole child.
