Schools receiving applications from the IDS class of 2012

2009-2012: IDS placements.

Welcome to the IDS Secondary School Web page. The Independent Day School offers a complete and personalized program to help each Eighth Grade student find the appropriate high school to best meet his or her individual needs.

Students from The Independent Day School are consistently accepted by the top independent high school programs in the region through their own merits and accomplishments but with the guidance of the secondary school advisor, Liz Warner.

The placement program aims to find the best school to nurture the unique skills of each student and help him fulfill his academic and leadership potential.

The IDS placement program offers:

  • One-on-one consultation with students and families
  • Workshops during the year to provide contact with area admission representatives and guidance about the application process
  • A step-by-step handbook to guide families in the decision-making process
  • One of New England's largest and oldest Secondary School Fairs in the fall

The search is much less about finding a "great" school than it is about finding a great fit!

For more information about the IDS Placement Program, please e-mail Liz Warner
