Tuition Assistance
What to Know & How to Apply
The Independent Day School (IDS) Tuition Assistance Program is designed to make an IDS education possible for all families based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds. Available to full-day students in Preschool through Grade 8, IDS financial assistance is based on the needs of the family and has no bearing on our admission decisions.
IDS is proud to partner with Clarity to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts. Clarity will require permission to request and obtain your tax information as part of the application process. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is also mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity Application for no additional charge.
In those cases where parents are not living together, the resources of both parents will be considered in establishing the family’s level of need. Award decisions are made by the IDS Tuition Assistance Committee. To be considered for tuition assistance, please complete an application online with Clarity.
