Who We Are

The Independent Day School is a Connecticut Association of Independent Schools accredited institution, which adheres to the guidelines and reflects the standards set by the National Association of Independent Schools. In addition, we are licensed by the State of Connecticut as a Youth Camp. We share the same philosophy and standards of excellence reflected in The Independent Day School’s Mission Statement: “By knowing our students deeply both as individuals and learners, IDS inspires a community of independent thinkers who are resilient and confident to take risks as they connect with others in the joyful pursuit of learning.”
