School Life

IDS+ consists of a variety of after-school activities that enrich the lives of our students and offer care for families who want or need to extend the school day.

The purpose of the IDS AFTERs program is to provide after-school care within a structured, positive program for children whose families require care for their children between 3:30 and 6:00 pm. Our goal is to offer a comprehensive program that includes physical activity, healthy snacks, and time to complete homework, engage in organized social play, and relax after a long day at school.

Winter Afters begins Monday, November 29 and runs through Friday, March 11.

As part of our COVID protocols during the Omicron surge, we are temporarily suspending Drop In Afters. This is necessary to ensure we have adequate staff to limit contact between students, reducing the risk of potential exposure and spread of COVID-19.

Enrichment Programs

At IDS, the learning continues well beyond the classroom and does not stop when the last bell rings. We believe in educating the whole student and a central component of that goal is the inclusion of a rich offering of co-curricular activities.

After School Music Lessons

IDS+ offers private music lessons after school. Lessons are offered each trimester for a fee. Available lessons include woodwinds, strings, voice, piano, and brass.
