What do you love or value most about teaching at IDS?
What I love most about teaching at Independent Day School is the sense of community. I enjoy working in a setting where I can truly get to know each student, build one-on-one relationships, and connect closely with their families. In a small school environment, you’re not just another teacher—you’re part of a tight, supportive team where everyone knows one another. I value being able to collaborate with staff who think creatively, try new approaches, and “think outside the box” to do what’s best for students. That kind of environment makes the work meaningful and personal.
